The strength of the fibre means Herculan® wool smashes the Martindale Abrasion test – the number of rubs it can withstand in the heel and toe of the sock (1,066,667 rubs, that’s 630% more than polyprop fleece). Its high aeration creates excellent moisture management, which in turn reduces the chance of blisters during a long hunt by creating less friction. Its exceptional abrasion resistance means the Peaks have more natural wool and less synthetic content, so the benefits of natural wool can be maintained: odour reduction, with less noise and less reflection for greater concealment.
