What is it Pepto-Bismol Liquid Suspension is a soothing remedy used to treat heartburn, nausea, indigestion, an upset stomach, in addition to helping control diarrhoea. It creates a barrier along your stomach and the lower part of your food pipe to protect against the discomfort caused by stomach acid. How to use Always take Pepto-Bismol exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. A single dose of this medicine is 30ml and you can take it with or without food. Do not take more than 8 doses in 24 hours. To administer, use the measuring cup provided to ensure you are taking the correct amount. Warnings Pepto-Bismol may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients as well as aspirin, or if you are currently taking any other salicylates including aspirin. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if: You are taking blood-thinning medication (anticoagulants) You have diabetes You suffer from gout You are taking any tetracycline antibiotics Ingredients Active ingredient: bismuth subsalicylate.
