Can I stain or oil veneered MDF? Absolutely. Use compatible stains, oils or lacquers; test on an offcut and seal both faces/edges. 3. What’s the difference between crown-cut and quarter-cut oak? Crown-cut shows “cathedral” grain; quarter-cut gives a straight, linear figure. 4. How do I finish exposed edges? Use matching veneer edge banding or solid lippings; machine, then sand and finish to blend with the face. 5. Is veneered MDF suitable for humid rooms? Use in dry interiors. For humid areas, specify MR-grade MDF with veneer and follow strict sealing/finishing guidance.
